I had forgotten even starting this book, the seventh in the Sackett saga, until the other day. Like other L'Amour books, this one is very fast-paced, for the most part, from beginning to end. This might be my favorite in the series. Although the first book was a masterpiece.

Louis L'Amour has been one of my favorite writers for 35+ years, and, periodically, I go through spells where I want to read as many of his books as I can. This just happens to be one of those times, as I have decided to try and read (listen to) all of the Sackett series before the 1st of January.
