Narrative Toward Books The Bride Wore Size 12 (Heather Wells #5)
Heather Wells is used to having her cake and eating it too, but this time her cake just might be cooked. Her wedding cake, that is.With her upcoming nuptials to PI Cooper Cartwright only weeks away, Heather's already stressed. And when a pretty junior turns up dead, Heather's sure things can't get worse—until every student in the dorm where she works is a possible suspect, and Heather's long-lost mother shows up.
Heather has no time for a tearful mother and bride reunion. She has a wedding to pull off and a murder to solve. Instead of wedding bells, she might be hearing wedding bullets, but she's determined to bring the bad guys to justice if it's the last thing she does . . . and this time, it just might be.

Cute couple. Heather and Cooper kept me interested. Ah!! The life of students and a good mystery. I liked the fact that the murder and added mystery were not easy to solve. Its always sad when series endnot just the ones with the absolute set number of books, but even the ones that could go on for a while. The flipside being that of course, you dont want the series to limp on forever until you want it to end out of mercy, but still. (*cough*Sookie Stackhouse *cough*) But its still sad because you dont want these characters to go away and even if its the proper send-off, its stillI want more.Moreso here because this is my second time that Ive said goodbye to
This book was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting humorous fluff, but there was actually something more than that. There was a mystery to solve. This is not the first book in the Heather Wells series. But I plan on reading more. I enjoyed the humor. The characters and their dialog reflected this. This part felt well written. It didn't feel overwrought. I also liked the characters. So 4 stars.
I really wanted more closure! Like, does she have kids? Does she get her degree? I wanted a '5 years later' ending.
This is book #5 of the Heather Wells Mystery Series by Meg Cabot. Yes, Meg Cabot, who wrote The Princess Diaries and a slew of other YA titles. But this book is far from YA. While some of the characters are older teens, our heroine and narrator is Heather Wells, a formerly famous teen pop star who lost her boy band lead boyfriend, career, family, and money all at the same time. Heather, now in her late 20s, is determined to go back to school to pursue a criminal justice degree, but, being broke,
I have enjoyed this series since the first moment we met Heather in Fischer Hall. I looked forward to see how she and Cooper were going to ride of into the sunset at the end of the series. And while I enjoyed this story (because really, you can't have a final book without a death at Death Dorm), I missed some of the characters that we have grown to love. No Jordan, her dad was missing, very little Magda and not enough Gavin. These are characters who have always been a core to each book, so I was
