Representaion In Pursuance Of Books Die Entführung aus der Klosterschule Folge 36 (Sherlock Holmes Chronicles #36)
This story centers around the disappearance of 10 year old Lord Saltire from Priory School. Holmes is called in to investigate that kidnapping at the request of the boy’s father. The investigation essentially ends when Holmes asks the Duke for the reward money, tells him where the boy is, and accuses the Duke. This is the climax because the story completely changes. The boy is no longer missing, so the search for him is over.As it turns out, the kidnapper was the Duke’s personal secretary, who turns out to be his illegitimate son. The man he hired murdered the teacher and ran off, and Wilder confessed to the Duke, who tried to save further family embarrassment by hiding the boy.

One of the more good natured books wherein the detective's skills were solely used
The Adventure of the Priory School was perhaps my favourite Sherlock Holmes short story to date. It was immersing completely from beginning to end. It had a little bit of the Baskervilles in it, but while I can say the outcome wasn't much surprising, the way in which it was revealed was what, I think, earned it its stars. For a story of merely forty pages to grab my attention so completely (in this world of distractions - and by distractions I mean the internet) is a wonder of wonders. If I could

very nicely composed. Although 1 can for-see things like "James" delivering the letter. Also, by the fact that the German Master left without socks which implies he left in a hurry therefore must have seen the boy going out. But the end was Final. Even though Sherlock Holmes generally never works for money, in this case he let go of 1 primary conspirator.
I'd forgotten how emotionally nuanced this story was, as Holmes exhibits not only impressive feats of deduction, but also manages to crack the shell of the Duke and remind the haughty aristocrat of his obligation to his innocent son. I also like the fact that Holmes struggles to interpret the mysterious cow/horse prints and doesn't learn of Mr. Wilder's parentage until informed of it by the Duke.
I can never get enough of Sherlock Holmes (mostly on the page, but also in cinema). This was a real gem, reliably Holmes, reliably Doyle. Highly recommended.
