Critique Out Of Books The Star Trek Book: Strange New Worlds Boldly Explained
So enjoyable with the pictures, descriptions, characterizations, little known facts, tie-ins for each series. Would have liked to have seen more on the characters from Star Trek: Enterprise and Voyager. Timeline graphs were great. It is amazing how a series like this becomes like your neighbor and you don't want them to ever move away...but they do...get on with their lives...new adventures, retirement or the inevitability...their passing away. We miss those characters, always hoping they will

It was great. I even learned things I did not know about the myriad Star Trek episodes.

For a small book, the team at DK have again managed to fit in a lot of detail.Covering the Original Series from the 1960s up to the most recent Scott Bakula lead Enterprise TV series along with the 10 motion pictures and the JJ Abrams reboots they're all here.Full of detail and pictures this is a must have for any Star Trek fan, or anyone new to the wonderful Star Trek universe seeking to get background on the rich diversity that the last 50 years has brought from this high quality franchise.

DK PROVIDES NEW FANS WITH INTRODUCTION TO ALL THINGS STAR TREKThe Star Trek Book is a perfect primer to the 50-year old franchise.Daunted by the prospect of catching up with a fifty-year franchise, many potential Star Trek fans just gave up until Director J.J. Abrams introduced the phenomenon to a brand-new audience in 2009. Serving as the perfect gateway to Gene Roddenberrys iconic show, the film generated interest in new fans who still had work to do to catch up and understand what has come

Fun compendium of the first five Star Trek television series: The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Voyageur, and Enterprise. Full of cool photos, informative graphs and spaced-out facts. Enjoyable reference book!

In a single book, Ruditis has done a nice job of updating and merging the former Star Trek Timeline and Star Trek Encyclopedia books in a single volume. Each chapter presents information with a macropedia format that pulls together information from all of the various series and movies that have come out to date. While this does mean that most of the information is not new, it is a refreshing and interesting format to access the information. It really does fill a niche as the above mentioned

This book offers nothing to supplement the info you get from watching on TV. The layout is pleasing, but the content is meh.
