Shah cites a quote from Robert Ingersoll in 1884 - No man with any sense of humour ever founded a religion - and argues this is proof by ridiculous assumptions. I think Ingersoll was more probably looking at the results, the pomp & the piety. However, if he spurred Shah, in any small way, to deliver this book of jokes and analysis, the reader can be thankful. Great little book.
