How to Betray a Dragon's Hero (How to Train Your Dragon #11)
Second to last one...tried to drag it on as far as I could, and yet here I am, about to read the last one to my munchkins...mmmmmm. Loved it
That cliffhanger though!!!
I'm so in love with this series. I know it's the heat of the moment but I genuinely like this series more than Harry Potter right now, and I don't say that lightly. The books have a more childish tone, and it's a good thing, it fits, it works with the story. Hiccup and his friends are a lot younger than Harry. But in these last few books, they've dealt with situations that no kids their age should have to deal with, and wow, have they done it well. Snotlout's arc in this story is forever going
This is the second last novel in the How to Train your Dragon series. At the beginning of the book, we find out who among Hiccup will betray him and who would stay loyal and protect him. This novel was almost 400 pages long however, in the book it was only 24 hours that had passed. A LOT can happen in 24 hours and a LOT does happen in this book. There was a lot of twists and turns that made the storyline so interesting that you just NEEDED to know what was going to happen next. There was also
What a fantastic story of redemption and second (third, fourth, fifth) chances! I wont say how because spoilers, but wow. Amazing story arc that shows just how important forgiveness, grace, and courage are. A truly heroic tale and one heading for a fantastic ending.
Another great installment in the Hiccup and Toothless saga. Here's my little summary:(view spoiler)[ Hiccup and his friends rescue Snotlout and then follow him to Alvin's lair where he betrays Hiccup and Alvin gets ahold of Toothless and therefore now has all 10 things. Hiccup's friends however have not been discovered and they save him and also make him look like quite the hero in front of all of Alvin's men and some of the Dragonmarkers who are prisoners including Gobber. Hiccup almost manages
