Emma on Thin Icing (Cupcake Diaries #3)
This time we'll introduced to Emma, she is the shied among the Cupcake Girls. She never spoke her mind directly, and she always bother to cause a fuse to her family and friends. So she always keep it by herself.Until Mia's mom's wedding that will be held in 3 weeks later, Emma, Mia, Katie and Alexis will be Junior bridesmaid, and they will choose the beautiful dress which cost them $250.Unfortunately, Emma's family is in finance trouble, she has to afford the dress by doing some part time job,
Before I read 'Alexis Cupcake Crush' and 'Katie Just Desserts' this book was my favorite from the series. I love how organized Emma is and how she loves to accomplish and plan things so I thought it was really interesting to read about her plans not going that well. This book was a ton of fun and I actually really sympathized/felt for Emma in this book, which is always a good thing! This is probably my third favorite book from the series!
This is a great book, because Mia asks the girls in her cupcake club to be a bridesmaid in her mom's wedding. Then they all find a dress for the wedding Emma thinks that it is the perfect dress. The problem is that it cost a a little more than expected. So even if she has two jobs, a baby sitting job, and a dog walking job. Can she handle all this?
When Mia asks the girls in the club to be junior bridesmaids in her mother's wedding, everyone is superexcited about the idea...especially when they find the perfect dress for the occasion! It's Emma's dream dress, except it's a little more than she expected. And with her mom now out of a job (she's been put on furlough at the library) there's not a lot of room at the Taylor's house for extras. But not wanting to disappoint her friends, Emma decides to take on a few more jobs and chores around
What a fantastic read! Love how the book is so close to reality and not at all talking down. One can learn a lot of good values from this series.Especially enjoyed this story as the conflicts are very realistically portrayed and resolved. it ended, as usual, with a warm fuzzy feeling, in me.
My 4th grade self awarded the 4 stars, since I would have loved this book at that age. Four girls form a small business baking cupcakes which is cool. Emma's family is going through a rough patch as everyone chips in to help when her mom is furloughed from her library job. Money is tight, so Emma takes on some dog-waking jobs to help out, while also babysitting her younger brother. Throw in an upcoming wedding and she faces a tough balancing act. Some good messages here, all wrapped up very

Not my favorite. I didn't like how she was all alone in all of her problems and how her parents were distant. This time we'll introduced to Emma, she is the shied among the Cupcake Girls. She never spoke her mind directly, and she always bother to cause a fuse to her family and friends.
